KUALA LUMPUR, November 13, 2025 – The global economy is entering a new era of transformation—one defined by innovation, resilience, and reinvention. As geopolitical dynamics evolve and technologies like artificial intelligence accelerate, the rules of competition are being reimagined. Companies are building smarter, more agile supply chains; investors are exploring new frontiers of sustainable and inclusive growth; and long-standing institutions are adapting to a more interconnected, tech-driven world.
Against this backdrop, Fortune will host the Fortune Innovation Forum 2025 in Kuala Lumpur on 17–18 November 2025 at the Shangri-La Hotel. The two-day event will bring together some of the most influential voices in business, technology, and policy to discuss how ASEAN and the world can navigate this era of disruption and seize the opportunities it presents.
One of the Forum’s headline sessions will see Clay Chandler, Executive Editor, Asia, Fortune, in conversation with YB Senator Datuk Seri Amir Hamzah Azizan, Finance Minister II of Malaysia. Together, they will explore Malaysia’s Economic Strategy, an ambitious agenda to expand cross-border energy infrastructure, build seamless regional payment systems, and attract high-value electronics manufacturing. The discussion will examine how these priorities fit into Malaysia’s broader plan to strengthen and secure its economic interests amid technology tensions and a shifting global economy.
The Forum will feature high-level discussions on critical issues shaping the future, including the digital revolution and artificial intelligence, shifting geopolitics and trade routes, sustainable energy transitions, innovations in food security, the evolving nature of work, advances in healthcare, and the transformation of global finance. These conversations will provide fresh perspectives on how nations and businesses can adapt, compete, and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
The first day of the Forum will culminate in the Fortune Most Powerful Women Asia Awards Presentation, celebrating outstanding female leaders who are shaping industries and driving transformation across the region. The ceremony will be followed by the Fortune Innovation Forum Gala Dinner, where Malina Ngai, Group CEO, AS Watson will discuss “The Science Behind a 185-Year Old Brand” in conversation with Nicholas Gordon, Editor, Asia, Fortune.
The Gala Dinner menu has been thoughtfully crafted by Dewakan, a celebrated Malaysian restaurant that champions indigenous ingredients and local flavors. Recognized with two Michelin stars, Dewakan is known for its bold, authentic approach to Malaysian cuisine – transforming native ingredients into a refined and contemporary dining experience.
The second and final day of the Forum will open with the Fortune Most Powerful Women Asia Leaders’ Breakfast – an invitation only, exclusive gathering of some of Asia’s most influential female business leaders. Honorees of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Asia 2025 list will join the session to explore how the reinvention of business models, leadership approaches, and personal trajectories are not just a response to change, but a proactive strategy for shaping the future. Panel speakers include:
• Wendy Tan White, CEO, Intrinsic, an Alphabet subsidiary
• Anne Tse, Chief Executive Officer, APAC, PepsiCo
• Thapanee Techajareonvikul, President & CEO, Berli Jucker
